We spent an hour warming up and conditioning. The warm-up consisted of typical football stuff: high knees, back peddling, and the like. Then we turned to 1 conditioning drill. It consisted of 16, 110 yard sprints under 16 seconds with a minute rest between each. It hurt. Actually, I think I got my first injury, a strained hamstring, right leg.
Tryouts are next week. The good news presented itself during our first conditioning drill today. 75% of the guys lined up for running backs and defensive backs. That means the positions for which I'll be trying out won't have as much competition.
Now I just have to nurse this hammy back to health quick like a bunny!!
